My kids are obsessed with Lego bricks. They love creating new Lego buildings and animals. And they love playing with their already built Lego creations. But coming up with Lego storage ideas can be tricky. So I have my top 10 best Lego storage ideas, so you can find one that works for your home and Lego-enthusiast kiddo!

Lego Organizing Ideas

IKEA Kuggis

Right now we are using the IKEA Kuggis boxes to store our Lego bricks. Each bin is labeled using my Lego Brick Color-Coded Label pack to keep things organized by color!

Portfolio Bins

When my kids first started playing with Lego bricks, I found these bins at our local Costco. I used them to dump the pieces of Lego bricks the kids weren’t playing using into. Then I stacked the portfolio bins on top of each other. It worked for a while but the kids ended up wanting them color-coded, so we used different bins that worked with their color coding.

Lego Brick Storage

I used Lego brick storage drawers for clients who’s kiddos didn’t have a lot of Lego bricks. These drawers are perfect as they open and close for holding Lego bricks. Plus they stack on top of each other so they are perfect for kiddos of any age.

Brick Case

When I was searching for Lego storage ideas for this post I came across this brick case and knew I had to share! This is perfect for on-the-go Lego lovers. I mean, you have the bricks all sorted AND a top that you can build on. How perfect is that?

Slide Away Bags

The Slide Away Bags are the best if you have a kiddo who loves Lego bricks but doesn’t like them confined to a bin. This bag comes with a mat that slides into the bin so you can easily clean up without worrying about stepping on a Lego brick.

Drawers

Back when I was teaching, I had all sorts of these colored drawers to help keep my classroom organized. Then fast forward to having kids, and these drawers are still super useful. And they make the perfect Lego storage idea because the color coded drawers could hold the color-coded bricks. Or you get the clear drawers and you just put all the bricks in any drawer. No matter how you organize the Lego bricks, these drawers are a great option.

Lego Storage Rack

This drawer organizer is the perfect Lego storage idea because it has 3 drawers AND the baseplate on top. The kids can easily build using the Lego bricks stored in the drawer by building on top of the storage container.

Lego Storage Cubes

I had a client who used these Lego storage cubes to hold the kids Lego bricks. She loved them because they could easily be packed and the Lego pieces were easy to find because the bags were soft.

Shelves

I had a client call up Lego and spoke with someone who was part of the design team. She wanted to know what their suggestions were for storing the completed Lego creations. And they told her that they suggest storing finished Lego creations on shelves to display. Then take them off the shelves to play with. I loved this because it has always been tricky with what to do with finished Lego creations, so now we know!

Lego Table

Another Lego storage idea is using a Lego table. These tables have Lego baseplates and storage for the bricks. I like this one because it is a lap table the kids can work on on the floor. But it can easily be put away if the kids want more space to play with other toys.

Now you pick Lego storage ideas that can work with your home and use them for your Lego bricks and Lego creations!
